Snow

Have been staying indoors a lot these days: work, sore throat (me), stuffy nose (toddler), hubby out of town, cold afternoons. While staying indoors can be nice and cozy, sometimes it means making an extra effort on my part to keep my little boy's boundless energy focused on something other than torturing the cat (or me!). Fantasizing about a family trip to a snowy mountain (maybe next weekend?), we had fun making our own snow on this contact sheet snowman collage. Those little fingers loved lining up the felt pieces in the outlines I had drawn (until he got bored with that) and especially sticking cotton wads all over the place. As usual with these kinds of activities, I was probably the one who had the most fun!

  4. A very artistic snowman. While not the first thing that comes to mind when thinking Sicily, is was a very good way of distracting your toddler. Hope you both feel better soon -:)

  5. Sorry to hear you guys have been sick, but I love the snowman! We have been creating lots of paper snowflakes around our house lately...maybe we should plan a snowday on Etna together soon. Hope you are aleady starting to feel better. Let us know if we can do anything to help.

  6. We've been suffering from sore throats and stuffy noses here too. Hope you both feel better soon. The snowman is such a great idea! There's a lot of rain in the forecast for the next few days, I think I'll try to distract Pata with a project like that.
